Captain Darren Hill
Captain Darren is a lifelong outdoorsman. Since his childhood, he has spent his free time chasing fish and game all over the country. From fishing in the Gulf of Mexico to chasing elk in the mountains of Montana, his love and knowledge of the outdoors is undeniable.
His first trip to Santee was a father's day gift in 2015. That first trip was all it took for Darren to fall in love with Santee. Completing his US Coast Guard Charter Vessel training and certification in 2023, he can now share that love and excitement of fishing the Santee lakes with people from all over.
Our boats- Pearl
Pearl is our flagship. She is a 30ft. tri-toon. Custom designed and hand built buy Captain Darren himself to to be the most comfortable and easy-fishing boat on the water. With her open concept, large fishing deck, and comfortable seats: your party will have plenty of room to fish and relax in style. She has a privacy room for changing and restroom breaks. The doors and cabin are also designed with our guests that need a wheelchair in mind.
Our boats- The Skiff
Our smaller boat, "The Skiff" is a proven fishing machine. It is a 22ft racehorse on the water. She is the perfect option for parties of one-two who are looking to target those fish in the backwater. Don't let her size fool you, there has been thousands of fish caught on this boat over the years. Packing 225 horsepower, she can jump you around the lake in a hurry to target those solitary fish that are hard to find.
Where We fish: The Santee Cooper Lakes and River
The Santee Cooper lake system and surrounding area is a true sportsman's paradise. It is one of the premier catfishing destinations in the country. Holding the title for the world-record Channel Catfish (58lbs) and the South Carolina record Blue Catfish (113lbs), It's no wonder people travel from all over to come fish here.
